Top insights include:
- Expertise alone is not sufficient for clients. What’s important to them is having this expertise applied to their business in a way that takes into account the nuances of their organisation.
- Clients are looking for experts to provide both innovation and authority. They are wanting fresh eyes that can offer new ideas, create value, and suggest insights. Consultants can also offer an external voice to give validity to their actions and ideas.
- Technology and sector expertise are what clients are most likely to be looking at, but they seem fairly critical of what’s on offer. In fact, they often think that their own sector expertise and technology skills are superior to that of consultants.
