We have recently started working with Mind as our new charity partner for the year. Mind is a well-renowned charity that works to provide mental health support for those that need it, and advocates for change in government, law, healthcare and work. We are working on more fundraising activities to raise money and awareness for this importance cause, and we are looking forward to what this year’s partnership will bring.

From August 2023-August 2024, Source supported Breaking Barriers as our charity partner for the year. Breaking Barriers is a charity that supports refugees to find meaningful paid work in the UK. While working with Breaking Barriers, we donated £10,000 and fundraised over £2000 through sponsored walks—one along the South Downs way and one from Marlow to Henley along the Thames. We also hosted an employability workshop for some of Breaking Barrier’s refugee clients, where people from all levels of the business came together to share expertise and tips on CVs and interview styles.
Since March 2024, we have been working with the Soup Kitchen London, volunteering on their Street Outreach walks. These involve walking through central London, handing out food and supplies to those sleeping rough. Along the way, we heard the stories and struggles of many people in need, gaining a new appreciation of our own privileges, the scale of this crisis, and how we can find small ways to help.
During the Christmas and Easter periods, we have been setting aside time as a team to come together and make seasonal cards. We send these over to Cards for Bravery, a charity that collects handmade cards and hands them out to children in hospice care, to spread a little bit of cheer to those that are going through hard times.
